The event will take place from Tuesday 22 to Thursday 24 February 2028 in Mombasa, Kenya.
Situated along the Indian Ocean and serving as the principal maritime gateway to East and Central Africa, Mombasa holds a critical strategic position in regional and international trade. As home to the Port of Mombasa—one of Africa’s busiest and most important ports—the city plays a vital role in connecting global shipping routes with inland markets including Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda, South Sudan, the Democratic Republic of Congo, and beyond.
The event programme will begin on Tuesday, 22 February 2028, with a technical site visit to the port, offering delegates exclusive insight into port operations, infrastructure development, and intermodal connectivity. The conference sessions will take place on Wednesday 23 and Thursday 24 February 2028, featuring 35 distinguished international speakers sharing expertise on port expansion, transport corridors, logistics efficiency, digitalisation, and sustainable infrastructure development across Africa.
Intermodal Africa 2028 is expected to welcome over 400 senior-level delegates, including government officials, port authorities, transport ministries, shipping lines, terminal operators, rail and road operators, freight forwarders, logistics providers, infrastructure developers, and private-sector decision-makers from across Africa and international markets.
